The origin story is quite the thriller.

In love with the kaleidoscope of experiences, the untouched beauty of the archipelago, the graceful mantas and whale sharks, the ‘fish rains’ and the unhurried sea turtles. And with the way the night sky above the deck turns into an endless planetarium.

That love hasn't faded in over 20 years.

Our story as a company began in February 2006, when I had just joined a large travel company as CBDO, and our local Maldivian ground operator unexpectedly let us down. Picture this: the Maldives, peak season, 40 divers arriving every week… and not a single yacht waiting for them. Slightly nerve-wracking, to say the least.

In four weeks of desperate scrambling to find our guests somewhere to stay and salvage their holidays, I learned everything there was to know about every yacht in the country and got direct contacts with their owners. Today, Maldivian Charter Club is a team of experts who know absolutely everything about Maldivian yachting. Over the years, I've personally been on board 56 Maldivian yachts, dived hundreds of times, and assembled a team of the country's finest cruise directors.
