Sachika

Yacht Sachika is a trusted and well-established liveaboard for diving safaris in the Maldives, successfully operating since 2007. The yacht features a wooden hull with elegant lines, measuring 33 meters in length and 10 meters in width. Across three decks, everything is thoughtfully designed for the perfect diving safari experience: 10 spacious cabins of different categories, all equipped with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and minibars, accommodating up to 22 guests; a comfortable saloon that serves not only as a restaurant but also as a welcoming space to relax in good company; a well-stocked bar and lounge with ocean views; and a sun deck where guests can soak up the Maldivian sun, relax in the shade, or unwind in the jacuzzi. And of course, enjoy breathtaking Maldivian sunsets — a view that never gets old.

 

It is no coincidence that Sachika has won the “Best Diving Safari Boat” award at the Maldives Boating Awards by the National Boating Association of Maldives three times, in 2018, 2019, and after her renovation, in 2022.

 

The yacht Sachika is operated by a premium-level operator where top boat, top crew, and top food are not just slogans, but a true service standard. Italian management ensures excellence not only in pasta, aperitifs, and wines, but also in the overall onboard atmosphere — from the elegant cabin interiors to open-air evening gatherings under the stars.

There are also itineraries specially designed for snorkeling.

 

For diving, everything is provided on board Sachika, including Nitrox and separate freshwater tanks for rinsing photo and video equipment. But Sachika is not just for divers! Non-divers are also warmly welcomed: they can try an introductory dive or enroll in PADI training courses. Many guests return for their next diving safari already certified — thanks to the warm, friendly atmosphere on board, which is often highlighted by loyal clients of Maldivian Charter Club, long-time guests of Sachika.

BOOKING and RESERVATIONS

 

  1. 30% of the total invoice is required at the moment of the confirmation of the cruise to confirm the spot. Such deposit is REFUNDABLE if the booking is canceled at least 120 days (4 months) prior to the scheduled departure. The 30% DEPOSIT BECOMES NOT REFUNDABLE if the booking is canceled less than 120 days before departure. Once the Guests pay the deposit they accept Terms and Conditions.
  1. Balance amount 45 days prior to the beginning of the cruise. If the balance is not paid within 45 days from the departure, the company reserves the right to cancel the booking, withholding any payment already received. The booking will be automatically canceled after 48 hours from the balance payment reminder if the customer does not respond or does not pay.

Important information

  1. Onboard payments are accepted in cash USD, cash EUR, or by credit card. MasterCard and VISA accepted with 4% commission.
  2. Check-in: from 11:00 to 24:00 on arrival day, from MLE or GAN airport
    Check-out: by 7:30 am on departure day, to MLE or GAN airport

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

  • CANCELLATION BY THE GUEST
  • If the Guests cancel the trip MORE THAN 120 DAYS before the booked departure, the company shall reimburse any AMOUNT (30% or more of the TOTAL) already paid within thirty (30) days from the cancellation but reserves the right to deduct all related bank charges from the refund.
  • If the Guests cancel the trip MORE THAN THIRTY DAYS UNTIL 120 DAYS before the booked departure, the company shall reimburse any BALANCE (70% of the TOTAL) already paid within thirty (30) days from the cancellation but reserves the right to deduct all related bank charges from the refund. In this case, the deposit (30%) is not refundable.
  • If the Guests cancel the trip between ZERO and THIRTY DAYS before the booked departure date, the company reserves the right to keep the total amount paid by the Guests (30% DEPOSIT + 70% BALANCE).

Diving insurance
Travel/medical insurance recommended, but diving insurance is mandatory for all divers.

  • If the Guests cancel the trip between ZERO and THIRTY DAYS before the booked departure date, Top Class Cruising reserves the right to keep the total amount paid by the Guests (30% DEPOSIT + 70% BALANCE).
  • For any cancellation within or prior 30 days from departure, boat will try to sell the canceled spots. In case the company succeeds in such a goal, the company will offer the opportunity to the canceling Guests to postpone their trip to future dates. In this case, boat  reserves the right to adjust the rates of the new booking.

CANCELLATION BY BOAT

  • Boat shall not be held responsible for any expenses incurred by the Guest in preparation or related to the booked tour, including but not limited to non-refundable airline tickets or cancellation fees, any costs of transportation, accommodation, meals, special clothing, or equipment, visa, passport fees, etc.
  • Boat  doesn’t practice overbooking. In the event that a Guest cannot be accommodated onboard due to circumstances, which are directly related to boat, such as technical problems with the vessel, or any other, boat shall accommodate the Guest in another adequate establishment at no additional expense to the Guest.

EXTRA PAYMENT per person: Single room +60%

DISCOUNTS:

Third person (in standard double and junior suite): adult / teenager -20%, child (under 12 years old) -50%

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  • Usual check-in time on arrival day: from around 11 a.m. onward, usual check-out time on departure day: 7.30 a.m., please double check the previous check-in/check-out information in case the tour is different from “Best of Central Atolls”
  • All the payments on board are possible in cash US$, cash EUR or by Credit Cards (we accept MasterCard and VISA, with a commission of 4%)

THE PRICE INCLUDES:
● Maldivian T-GST 16% and Maldivian “Green Tax” 12 USD per day;
● 3 daily dives for a total of 16/18 dives for 7-nights trip, 22/24 dives for the 9-nights trip, 25/27 for the 10-nights trip, 31/33 dives for the 12-nights trip, except check-in day and the last 24 hours NO-FLY before departure flight
PLEASE NOTE: if the customers purchases the return flight departing within the morning of the check-out day, they will only be able to do one or two of the dives scheduled the day before. To take advantage of the entire diving package offered, we suggest purchasing the return flight in the afternoon of the day of the check-out.
● 1 night dive included during the 7-nights and 9-nights trip - 2 night dives included during the 10-nights and 12-nights trip. The night dive will be considered as the third dive of the day included in your package.
● Diving Dhoni and Dinghy for diving and snorkeling activities: 13lt aluminum tanks, belt and weight;
● Full Board: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in buffet style, and some snacks during the day;
● Drinking water, Nescafe & tea;
● Transport from and to the airport on arrival and departure scheduled cruise dates;
● Fishing from the boat (where allowed);
● Trips to local islands, private islands and sandbanks: it could be requested a small entrance fee;
● Trip to Male’ (if allowed and safe) available for "Best of Central Atolls", "Manta Madness" and "Northern Highlight" itineraries only;
● Daily snorkeling;
● 1 barbeque dinner on the beach, if weather conditions permit;
● All extra activities the crew is able to offer based on the preferences of the group onboard: biology lessons, talks about the Maldives, clean-ups on the beach, clams gathering, karaoke night, disco night, and so on!

THE PRICE DOESN’T INCLUDE:

  • “Service Fee” 130 USD/PERSON per 7 nights trip, 165 USD/PERSON per 9 nights trip, 185 USD/PERSON per 10 nights trip, 220 USD/PERSON per 12 nights trip. This amount needs to be paid CASH in US DOLLAR onboard before departure.
  • Flight ticket (International flight to/from MLE or to/from GAN or Domestic Flights to/from Gan for the itineraries: “10 Atolls, 2 Hemispheres” and “Wild Deep South”);
  • Insurances: travel, medical, Covid-19, diving (about diving: DAN temporary insurance can be stipulated directly onboard) – we strongly recommend arriving in Maldives with a Travel, Medical & Covid-19 valid insurance
  • Drinks
  • NITROX usage: 70 USD x 7 night trip, 80 USD x 9 night trip, 90 USD x 10 night trip and 100 USD x 12 night trip;
  • Diving equipment’s rent - Diving courses - Extra dives (when possible, an extra fourth dive will be planned by cruise manager: e.g. night dive with mantas, channel dives and others)
  • Trips to private islands (if allowed and safe - these islands usually require a small entrance fee)
  • National/Marine Park fees (where required) - until August 2024 required only in Baa Atoll - "Manta Madness" and "Northern Highlight" Itineraries;
  • Wi-Fi internet access: 30 USD/PERSON per 7 nights trip, 35 USD/PERSON per 9 nights trip, 38 USD/PERSON per 10 nights trip, 45 USD/PERSON per 12 nights trip.;
  • Transport from and to the airport in date out of the calendar beginning/end of the cruise
  • Everything not described in “The price includes”

Boat reserves the right to revise the above rates in case of tax increase, fuel price increase or relevant general costs increase.

Cabin Description

Sachika has 10 cabins that can accommodate up to 22 guests.

On the lower deck there are a total of 7 cabins, that come in either double or twin formats. 

  • 2 standard twin cabins (on accommodation deck) with two single beds (maximum for 2 pax)
  • 4 standard double/twin cabins (on accommodation deck), very spacious, with a double bed + a single bed (maximum for 3 pax, but recommended for 2 pax)
  • 1 junior suite (on accommodation deck) with king-size bed + single bed, bathroom with shower box and bath tub (maximum for 3 pax)

On the upper deck

  • 3 suites (on upper deck) with king-size bed, monitor LCD with CD/DVD player (maximum for 2 pax)

All cabins are furnished with independent air conditioner, mini-bar, en-suite bathroom with spacious shower boxes (soap, shower gel and hairdryers available), fire alarm system. Standard cabins and the junior suite are equipped with portholes, while the 3 suite rooms have large panoramic windows, of which one could be opened.
